Since we live in the 21st century, you don't have to go on your trip to Barcelona with just a paper one map and a few printed pages from the internet. Today's smartphones offer a lot of options to make full use of them. I made up my mind at this point to collect some useful apps that can help you a lot during your stay in Barcelona. 

Google Maps

Today, this is a standard that is worth having not only in Barcelona. If you need to know where you are currently, plan a route on foot or by public transport, or perhaps find reviews of restaurants in your area, reach for this excellent application.

mapy.cz

Mapy.cz is a great home alternative to Google maps. In the Czech Republic, this mobile application is mainly known for its tourist maps, but it won't leave you alone in Barcelona either! Although, unlike Google Maps, it does not offer reviews or search for connections, on the contrary, it gives you the opportunity to download a city map directly to your phone, so you do not have to waste your mobile data when using it. You can do the download at home or at the hotel on WiFi and then you don't have to stress about anything when using it...

TMB App

TMB App is the official app Barcelona Transport Company. You can use it to search for information about the local metro or buses: you will have a list of all stations, current traffic information about connections, or perhaps the ability to search and plan a route. In the same way, thanks to the application, you can buy tickets and then simply pick them up at any vending machine in the city. It's definitely a useful helper worth downloading!

foursquare

The best places as seen by real people. Find out which restaurants are considered the best, what to see, where to see or where to have the best coffee (Satan's Coffee Corner FTW!). Anyone can rate and read reviews from others. Foursquare is by far the most used application of this type.

Have you found yourself in Barcelona without accommodation and would like to get to know the city more from a local perspective? Then always have the app handy Airbnb. It will connect you with one of the owners of thousands of apartments in Barcelona, ​​with whom you can rest your head at the time of your choice - you simply click on a date, choose an apartment according to the rating, and the application will arrange everything for you. Definitely better than staying in a hotel!
