Parking in Barcelona

If you are going to Barcelona with your own car, p you may have a bit of a problem with parking. Although there are plenty of parking spaces right in the center, usually all parking spaces are full. One and unfortunately true piece of advice regarding parking in Barcelona is that if you don't want to worry about parking, don't even try to park your car in the center. This will save you a lot of trouble. 

Barcelona has excellent urban public transport system even without a car, you can get where you need to go quite quickly. 

Apart from the fact that sometimes parking in Barcelona is a bit of a problem, you need to watch out for thieves. For them, cars with foreign license plates standing somewhere for a long time are literally a magnet, and if you don't park in one of the safe places, it might not be worth it. 

In general, it can be said that most large paid parking lots are completely safe, as there is always a security guard around. Avoid parking in secluded spots that provide apparent peace, but that's exactly what thieves are looking for - the more your car is in front of other people, the better.  

Barcelona has a network of city car parks

There are many places where you can park your car. You can't go wrong if you look at map of city parking lots, which are completely safe and you should not be in any danger there.

If you don't mind having the car a little less at hand, you can try leaving it on parking lot a short distance from the airport in El Prat de Llobregat. In addition, a direct bus (shuffle) runs directly to the airport from it. 

Parking at the Barcelona Bus Estacion de Nord bus station

A reliable tip on where to park is also Barcelona Estacion de Nord bus station, in the area of ​​which there is an extensive complex with parking capacities for cars: BSM Estació Barcelona-Nord Car Park. Parking prices are as follows: 

  • €2.69 per hour
  • €16.10 per 24 hours
  • €75 for a P8 ticket, which allows up to 8 days of uninterrupted parking. For this price, you can leave and return at any time with the car, and your place will be guaranteed for eight days. 

The above-mentioned bus station is located near the metro station Arc de Triomf (red line, L1) or Marina (red line, L1) at the intersection of the streets Carrer de Napols and Av de Vilanova.
