Marineland in Mallorca is mainly about dolphins. You can come and see their show here twice a day (only once outside the high season).

Dolphins are smart and funny creatures

What does a dolphin show look like?

The dolphins themselves and their trainers will show you various tricks, the most popular of which is the high jump. They will overcome the 6-meter mark, and you will just wonder how such an animal can do it. Their show lasts approximately 30 minutes and given the fun, it will go by really quickly! 

For the best photos, sit in the middle rows. Once the show is over, you will also have the opportunity to take a photo with the dolphins. 

And even though it's a dolphinarium, I think the dolphins are more than successfully supported by the docile sea lions with their show full of humor and interaction with the audience. The sea lions will perform fun ball games, show you their dances and make you laugh with their tricks. Children will especially love the moment when the sea lions "sing" and "wave" to the audience :-)

Feeding the penguins

In addition to them, you will also find penguin exhibits, a tropical garden full of macaws and cockatoos, a large aquarium full of fish and sharks, or terrariums with snakes, chameleons, and other reptiles.

My tip: Want to get as close to the dolphins as possible? You can book additional activities on site, such as a small group dolphin swim program, during which you can pet, hug or kiss them.

Tips for visiting the park

• If you are coming here with children, I recommend setting aside almost a whole day for your visit.The program is really packed during the season and it would be a shame to arrive here only in the afternoon – you would miss out on a lot of interesting performances. 
• Likewise, during the morning, crowds of visitors tend to be smaller and more bearable. 
• In Park you will find a restaurant with a sea view, several food stalls and picnic areas. 

The local restaurant also offers healthy and light meals.

Don't forget to bring with you to Marineland:

• Swimsuits, goggles and towels for the water area or dolphin activities (if you decide to try it)
• Sunscreen and a hat, you'll be hot in the sun and you definitely don't want to get burned...
• Light snacks and water (although you can buy them on site)

Prices per all-day tickets to the park are on a par with other similar facilities and attractions: 

• Normal admission: €31, €65 for over 21s
• Children (5-10 years): €22
• Mini (3-4 years): €13
• Up to 3 years free

A family discount is also available. when buying 2 adult and 2 child tickets, you get just under €95. You can save up to 10% when booking online. I recommend taking advantage of this, as you can avoid queues on site. 

When is it open? 

Opening hours vary depending on the season. In high season (from 1 April) it is open from 10:00 to 17:00 (in July and August until 17:30). 

In the off-season (from November 1st) opening hours are reduced: Marineland Mallorca is open from 10:00 to 15:00. 

How to get here?

• There is a direct TIB bus from Palma, number 104, 106 and 107 (stop "Marineland").
• By car from Palma along the road to Andratx, Costa d'en Blanes. Parking is free at the complex.
• There is a free bus service from many resorts in and around Magaluf, please check with your hotel reception for availability.

Children can cool off in the smaller pool.
