10 best souvenirs and gifts to bring back from Barcelona

You'll probably agree with me, right? buying a good souvenir from a holiday or a trip is not easy. 

Of course, if you want to give a gift to a loved one or bring back a souvenir from your travels yourself, you can always reach for the classics such as fridge magnets, t-shirts with the motif of the place, postcards or even key chains. 

But what a souvenir to bring back from sunny Barcelona, if you want to be original and not go the way of rather boring classics?

1. Nougat – we will start with a dish that has a great tradition in Spain. If you're looking for something more compact in your travel suitcase, instead of jamon, reach for fuet, a seasoned dry pork sausage from Catalonia.
   
3. Cava - among other things, Catalonia is also famous for its quietness, but above all sparkling wine by name cava. In Barcelona alone you will find many wine bars and shops where you can buy a bottle or two as a souvenir for a loved one.
   
4. Olive oil – if there is an ingredient that you can find in almost everyone Spanish food, it is certainly olive oil, without which the local cuisine would not be what it is.
   
5. Espadrilles – these are comfortable, light and stylish summer shoes that were originally worn as work shoes in Spain, but over time have become a fashion statement. You will find plenty in Barcelona shops and boutiques, where you can buy them. 
   
6. Vermouth – vermouth is a typical Spanish aperitif that has its base in wine, but is further flavored with spices, herbs and a drop of brandy. This is a matter for true connoisseurs. 
   
7. FC Barcelona memorabilia – this is a classic and, so to speak, a safe bet, especially if you need a souvenir for football fans. After all, who among them would not want a jersey, scarf or cap with a logo of the famous football team FC Barcelona, which has its home at the legendary Camp Nou stadium?

However, if you visit one of the gift shops, you should have no problem finding one at any time of the year.
