El Born district - what to see and do here? 

Barcelona city district El Born is one of the places where style, trends, culture and history mix today. It is next door Barri Gotic, El Raval a Barceloneta by one of the parts of the original old town (Ciutat Vella)Although El Born is part of the larger area of ​​Sant Pere, Santa Caterina and La Ribera, this name has taken hold among tourists. 

  • In this district you will find a lot of narrow streets, picturesque squares and the spirit of old Barcelona will surely breathe on you
  • The heart of the district is the historic Passeig del Born, which leads to the square, which used to be an arena for jousting tournaments

  • In the El Born district you will find many historical monuments and cultural attractions such as MOCO Museum or Picasso MuseumIt is spread across several Gothic palaces and offers an extensive collection of works by this famous painter, who was strongly linked to Barcelona.
  • If, on the other hand, you enjoy architecture more, look for it on the map Church of Santa Maria del Mar. It is considered one of the gems of Catalan Gothic.
  • You definitely won't make a mistake if you go through the historic street Carrer Montcada and you will see all its palaces.
